Nice to meet you

My name is Gabi Jaffe, I’m a certified naturopath (ND) and live in Tel-Aviv.  I graduated after four years of studies, from Campus Broshim, College of Alternative Medicine Tel Aviv University.  In addition I earned a diploma in Herbal Medicine.

My special interest is supporting and guiding women develop a positive body image for themselves, achieve a healthy weight through a well-balanced personalized eating plan to suit their unique needs, as well as helping create a healthy lifestyle to ensure my client’s reach optimal health for life.

 
My story

During my childhood and adolescent years I suffered from being chubby, experiencing ever worsening stomach aches, asthma and allergies.  I had no energy and was drastically lacking in self-esteem and confidence.  My self-image was zero and my school life was marred with humiliation and worthlessness at the hands of unsympathetic sport’s teachers.

Like many young girls, the pressure of the media telling us what we should look like lead me to diet.  I tried many different diets, like a slave i counted calories, weighed meals and spent many hours in the gym.

I was determined to discover the right path to finding happiness and being able to love myself and my body.   This was when I decided to study Naturopathy and specialize in nutrition and body image.

Following the principles I learned – eating an abundance of the right foods and doing gentle exercise, my weight stabilized.  To my surprise the ailments I had suffered since childhood disappeared and I now had energy and a zest for life.

No longer was I at war with my body, but finally I was giving it the attention it craved and deserved.  I was nourishing my body with a healthy plant based diet, no longer punishing myself in the gym and I now take long daily, healthy walks with my dog.  I finally learned how to love myself & the body I am in.  I am happy with who I am and all that I can be.

 
My Approach

Each person is unique, one-of-a-kind, so therefore each treatment is individualized to suit the client’s exclusive needs.  By incorporating various techniques, as well as a lot of personal experience, I’m able to bring about positive changes in my client’s attitude towards their food, health and particularly towards themselves and all aspects of their life.

During the first consultation I get to know and understand my clients by discussing their eating habits, lifestyle, personal and family medical history and what their personal goals are.

With a compassionate approach I work on 3 basic areas and find a way to balance NUTRITION, MIND and LIFESTYLE
